Sharon Miller is president and co-head of Business Banking, one of Bank of America’s eight lines of business, and is a member of the company’s executive management team.
In this role, Sharon, along with co-head Raul Anaya, leads a nationwide team that serves 11 million business owner clients and more than 3.4 million start-up to mid-sized businesses, including one out of every three small businesses in the country.
Under their leadership, Bank of America is consistently ranked as the #1 small business lender according to the FDIC, has been recognized as the “Best Bank in the U.S. for Small and Medium Enterprises” by Global Finance magazine, and has received the “Outstanding Customer Service Experience” award from J.D. Power for 14 consecutive years.
In addition to supporting equality for business owners, Sharon supports Bank of America employees by serving as a council member on the company’s Global Diversity and Inclusion Council and an executive co-sponsor for the Women’s Executive Development Program. Miller also sponsors the Native American Advisory Council, an employee network assembled to help drive support for our Native American employees, clients, and communities.
Sharon has been named to American Banker’s Most Powerful Women to Watch in Banking and included in Forbes annual 50 over 50: Investment list for 2023. She appears regularly on national and local media to discuss the state of the U.S. small business market and advocates for the nation’s entrepreneurs as the engine that drives the U.S. economy.
Sharon began her career at Bank of America in 1996 as a financial advisor in Houston, Texas, and has since held various leadership positions across Bank of America and Merrill Lynch.
Sharon is a current member of Trinity University’s Board of Visitors and The University of Texas McCombs School of Business Corporate Advisory Council.
